The Midlands’ Best Conference Since 2007
NottsMUN Has the best socials of any conference in the UK. We provide amazing value for money, giving delegates amazing experiences at four socials events.
Seven Fantastic Committees
NottsMUN 2018 has committees for all skill levels from more than just the UN. We’re bringing back our Future Security Council, debating the issue of the Korean peninsula and cyber-warfare. Our General Assembly Committee will be dealing with election interference and Western Sahara. We also have the Human Rights Council, the International Court of Justice, International Labour Organisation, and as always, a fantastic Crisis, consisting of three cabinets, on the Italian Unification.
While traditional General Assembly and Specialized committees operate on a static timeline, Crisis does not. Instead, the actions the delegates take directly affect each update and influence the eventual end result of the committee.
The Economic and Financial Affairs Council, commonly known as the Ecofin Council, is responsible for economic policy, taxation matters, financial markets and capital movements, and economic relations with countries outside the EU.
The Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) considers a broad range of issues covering a cluster of five decolonization-related agenda items.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations (UN). It was established in June 1945 by the Charter of the United Nations and began work in April 1946.
The only tripartite U.N. agency, since 1919 the ILO brings together governments, employers and workers of 187 member States, to set labour standards, develop policies and devise programmes promoting decent work for all women and men.
Under the Charter, the Security Council has primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security. It has 15 Members, and each Member has one vote. Under the Charter, all Member States are obligated to comply with Council decisions.
The Human Rights Council is an inter-governmental body within the United Nations system made up of 47 States responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights around the globe.
The NottsMUN Secretariat prides itself on being able to offer increadibly competitive delegate fees for such an amazing experience.
